In 2006 art galleries in the Historic Bronzeville
community came together and recognized the
need of an art tour for community residents, art
patrons, collectors, students, and tourist that
were interested in learning and acquiring art by
African Americans. River North and other North
Side galleries offered art walks and tours, but
few exhibit works by African Americans. Where is
one to go if they are interested in learning,
viewing and purchasing works by African
Americans.
